Rita Maier,
former Director of the Health Education Library, has passed
away.
The staff and
volunteers of the Health Education Library of the New York
Hospital Medical Center of Queens sadly announce the passing
of Rita Maier on July 12, 2010 after a long illness.
Ms. Maier was Director of the NYHQ Library for 30 years. Her
presence is in every book and journal of this Library and in
the hearts of all of the people who she has assisted over
the years.
She will be very missed both by her colleagues at the NYHQ
and by BQSI/MB members.

NN/LM
Middle Atlantic Region. One of the important
benefits of this membership is an eligibility for
award funding for health information access and

of health sciences librarians of New York City. The mission
of BQSI/MB is to facilitate professional development and
